 Post subject: Tramp Brigade position?

I wonder if anyone knows where the Tramp Brigade and the other SC units were located on this map? Very good detailed map for Sherman's positions.

Evan's Briagde was placed in the works to the north of Jackson, MS between the Canton Road and Livingston Road (this looks to be the 2nd road to the left next to the Mississippi R/R) on the above map.

The Tramp Brigade was directly in front of Federal Gen. W. S. Smith's Division of Sherman's Army.

Today this would be the area from Hwy 51(Canton Road during the war) E. Fortification intersection towards the Illinois R/R on modern day maps. I can not find a Livingston Road on any modern map in that area. There is a Livingston Road way to the north, but that would be way pass the where Smith's Federal Division was located.

This is my best guess on a location of where the Tramp Briage was entrenched at Jackson, MS.

I hope this helps.
