Good Day,

I have been looking for a ACW group for a while now and discovered your site today.

I greatly look forward to meeting you all at Fort Moultrie. I'll be there as a spectator at a minimum, hopefully I'll have an impression by then.

I'm originally from Durham, North Carolina. I spent 22 years on active duty with the U.S. Coast Guard, and am now retired and a civilian employee with the USCG here in Charleston, South Carolina.

I go by Scott.

Best Regards,

RST

Scott,

In all seriousness... We got kit to help outfit you. Send me a quick email to pete.berezuk@gmail.com and we'll see what you need.

Welcome to the Brigade...

Nice to see you on the forum. My name is Scott too. Im also a newbie to this group, since Ive just recently joined them this year. These guys are great and have been very gracious in letting me know that I can borrow anything from them to get started. Dont hesitate to come on out and partake with us. Hope to meet you at Moultrie.

Guy's,

I greatly appreciate the warm welcome.

As far as borrowing kit for Moultrie, I'm not sure that would be the best idea right now. I'll have all three of my kids there and it would impact my impression to have Alex (my 5 year old) pulling on my coat-tails and demanding chocolate milk!

We will without a doubt be there both days to meet and greet everyone, and I'm really looking forward to it!

Oh,

One thing I definately can cover is taking lots of photographs of the event.

Location: North Charleston, SC
Hello Mr. Taylor:

Coast Guard?? All we need now is a couple of Navy squids and I think we have all the service covered.

I am glad this forum is growing and I hope to pile on research this summer.
We are getting Vendors involved, research folks and event organizers. Hopefully we will offer something to people who want to reenact the right way.

We want to rise to a higher level and my goal for this organization is 40 active participants, with one major event sponsored by us each year.
That event could be in SC or elsewhere.

By 2015 I the TBOHI will be known for a quality legacy. We will then reform to a new unit, with a new mission and charter, perhaps a Living History unit or another SC Brigade to recognize.

Whether Soldiers or Sailors, past or present, I hope we will bestow honor on those fine men and women.

Good to have you here.

Scott,

You're hired... Greg, Brian and I have some ideas about pictures we need. Drop me a line at pete.berezuk@gmail.com so we can exchange phone numbers.
