That's much more a diversity of arms than I expected. I wonder if the "State Rifles" are copies of the Mississippi Rifle. Even Belgian Rifles and tons of Smoothbores!

The whole enfield approach was something Ive been wondering about. After all more than 1 account from original members state that there were only 2 companies in the 17th that were ever issued Enfields, as far as Ive read anyways. Along with all the data that yourself and mississippian have been pulling up. I just see more different calibers in ya'lls research than I had thought there would be in the Regiment.
