I've found a few more ordnance records for the 17th. It seems that they had a major ordnance refit during the first couple of weeks of March 1864, while they were at Green Pond. Many of the regiment were still packing .69 smoothbore muskets, and these were replaced by Austrians. Also, a lot of traps and even knapsacks were issued.

It's always interesting to note when you have two different listing for jackets in the same Form 40. I saw one from (I think) Kershaw's Brigade from late 1864 that had two different types of jacket on it. One cost like $8.00, and other cost like $12.00. Makes you wonder how they determined who got a nice Peter Tait jacket and who got stuck with the flimsy jeancloth RD II......
