Mike,

I'm going to move this thread to the Uniform Forum for house-keeping purposes...

The 1833 fatigue uniform was in use throughout the Seminole Wars until the 1857 regulations authorized the Fatigue Sack Coat familiar to Civil War Federals.

Now with that said, the possibility of a Low Country Militiaman having a using the summer version of that jacket exists. If he was a veteran of Mexico or the Seminole Wars. But that would be a very small possibility in my opinion. So with that said, one guy (i.e. You) attired in an 1833 pattern summer fatigue uniform for a militia event is not out of the relm of possibility.

I'm getting an 1833 Fatigue Uniform in Sky Blue to portray a Private in the 3rd US Artillery for the timeline event in October. I don't forsee myself using it for Militia since I have a goodly amount of civilian clothing already. But it might make an appearance some day.
