Greetings Comrades,

I was driving from Charleston, through Columbia, to Augusta and back today for work and thought about that fact that the Tramp Brigade came from these areas and worked the Pine Barrens to produce turpentine and other naval stores. After doing a quick search on line I found an article about the Naval Stores industry and it included a description of how Turpentine was distilled.
