This is some stuff from the papers of Capt. W.G. Vardell, he started out as the QM for the 23rd S.C., but later ended up serving as the QM for the entire brigade for most of 1863. It's been kinda hard to pin down what he was exactly doing at what time.
June 19th 1863 (serving as Brigade QM in Jackson)
149 Hats
57 Jackets
183 pairs pants
215 pairs socks
12 coats
2 sets of ambulance harness, complete
50 pounds rope
7 wagon covers
6 water buckets
12 camp kettles
1 Blue (??)
300 Hats
1 keg nails
