Hello: My name is Jim Mayo. I had relatives in SC and thought I would lurk around the forums and see what I could learn or contribute. Have reenacted and relic hunted since late 70s but time is catching up to me. Too old to do the cool stuff any more but still enjoy the easy ones.

Welcome Jim,

You may or may not remember me, but we met a couple times in Portsmouth and Hampton Roads when I used to stand with Mike Kelly's 79th NY.

Comrades,

Jim, in my opinion is a material culture guru and an expert in Ordnance, a great addition to our historical forum.

I do remember. Mike is still doing the 79th and I tag along once in a while.

Did you move from the area?

Jim,

I moved two years ago from Virginia Beach to Charleston.

I visit once and awhile, but my home is down here now.
