Hello everyone. I suppose I should tell you a bit about myself.

My Dad was in the Navy and so I have lived all over the place, including SC, though I currently live in Southern Maryland in a town called Lexngton Park. I am engaged to be married on June 21st this year in Mt. Pleasant, and my fiancee, who is from Central, and I are hoping to move back down to SC by some point next year. It's just a matter of finding jobs.

I am 27 and have a 5 year old daughter from my first marriage. I work at an outdoor living history museum up here called Historic St. Mary's City where our focus is the initial founding and settlement of the Maryland colony, so I guess you can say I am a professional living historian. I am actually the supervisor of our Indian Hamlet at the museum, which for political reasons is a third person site, but I have a great amount of experience in first person character work and have developed several characters at the museum.

I began reenacting when I was 18, fell away from it for a little while once I started working at the museum, I guess it was hard to want to go away for the weekend to d owhat I was doing every day at work. Over the past couple of years, I have begun to get back into the hobby though I have yet to find a good home, which I am happy to say I think I have now! On top of my daughter, the wedding which is just around the corner, and work, I am pursuing my degree in Military History throught the American Military University, so I am very busy, but I am ready to get going full steam in reenacting again.

I like to do research, and I am building my sewing skills which have developed over time from my work at the museum anyways, and I am beginning to sew my own garments together. I am extremely excited about this group and its mission, and I cannot wait to help in anyway possible.

That's about it I suppose. Please feel free to send me an e-mail at any time at cobytreadway@yahoo.com .

Thanks,

Coby

Thanks for the congratulations Brian! We had a great time down there and the wedding went extremely well. I'll see if I can't get a picture or two up for you guys to check out, or better yet, I'll put up the link to the album.

Also, on another note, now that we are married, my wife and I are looking to relocate to the Charleston area. We have put in a couple of applications for jobs down there, but I was wondering if any of you from that area know of any jobs that we could apply for.

Thanks,

Coby

Hey all. I just wanted to come in and say hello. I'm still around. Life has been crazy, but we are kicking through it up here in Maryland as best we can. It doesn't look like I'll be moving down to SC for a while, but I will try my best to meet the requirements for membership.

I also really want to keep helping with research.

Anyways, I just wanted to say hey to everyone. I'm glad to see that the group is growing.

Coby
