Does anyone know of any images for the Charleston Depot cap? Greg Starbuck is going to be making me several caps, and I'd like him to make a Charleston Depot if possible.
Thanks,
Coby

Coby,
Not to steer you away from Greg's work (because he is one of the best cap makers in the business..), but Kiev Thomason makes a cap based off one from a Charleston Haberdasher. I have one and when I get a chance, I will snap a photo or two for you. I am wearing it in the pictures from Secessionville last weekend.
I'll have to defer to our QM researchers, but I am not aware of a significant number of depot or government produced caps coming from the low country.

Pete,
The TB was issued caps on a regular basis. Where exactly they they come from is open to question, but they were issued alot.

Here's one made in South Carolina, most likely Charleston, it's currently in the SC Confederate Relic Room.

Thanks for the pic Greg.
I am using Starbuck because I traded him several of my old uniform items for four kepis, and this is one of the ones I wanted him to make.
