My wife and I last sunday morning got breakfast here in downtown Beaufort. On the way home I remembered seeing that Elliot was buried at St. Helena's Church. We stopped just as church was getting out but none the less we walked through the small cemetary yard and found Elliots stone. You can see pictures of it online, but we took some pictures ourselves. With the church goers out and about we could not walk up to the stone, we had to stay on the walkway (one of the rules), If anybody is interested in seeing them I can email them. Like I said not great pictures since we had to stay about 25 feet away. next time I will go when its quieter and actually write down what is written on the stone. There were very new looking confederate battle flags stuck in the ground in front of the stone along with many other stones n that grave yard so Im guessing tha the local Sons/ Daughters of the confederacy chapter come and keep it nice.
