My name is Richard Mardis, my lineage is South and North. My father was born in Greenville, South Carolina. My mother,Thompson, Maine. My father was Air Force so I went Army 84-88. I've learn of my rebel history and purchased the book "Wandering to Glory". I"m trying to re connect with my ancestors. Living in Arizona is far from my southern roots. (You guys are very lucky, I only get to read about the hallow ground of the Civil War.) I would much appreciate any help in this endeavor.

Welcome to the forum. We'd love to read anything you have on your ancestor in the 18th SC and I bet you will some interesting history in our research files.
