Folks: I’m helping out a Minnesota campaigner who is in the Cherokee Pond Volunteers, 1st SC. What he’d like to do is hone his impression by finding out if there was actually a Cherokee Pond (village or pond) in South Carolina, what the area looks like, what sort of agriculture might have been common in pre-war Kershaw District, etc. The sorts of little details a soldier would have known. Can any of yall help? I'll pass along anything you know and/or suggest that he sign up on this forum. Walt
